Young Jungsuwonimals having fun

March 31, 2012

Remember Claire and Charlie, the bovine Jung Suwon-imals?  I still see them quite often, having fun in their own way.  Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim tells us that wherever we are, that is where Jung Suwon is – Jung Suwon is not a physical place, although we do of course have a DoJang, but it is a state of mind.  So for Charlie and Claire, their pasture is their Jung Suwon!

When I watch them frolicking around, I am reminded of a sentence in Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s book “Seven Steps to Inner Power”

“You find yourself glad to be alive every day for the sheer pleasure of experiencing life, of experiencing yourself!”

All the hard Jung Suwon-imal workout makes these Jung Suwon warriors hungry – here is Charlie stopping by to get a quick snack from his Mom.

Let’s welcome a brand new Jungsuwonimal!

March 26, 2012

Here is Celeste, one of the most exotic Jung Suwon-imals to stop by!  She is definitely a character.  Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim explained about cranes, that they usually live together as big families, and during breeding season, as couples, and that they like to live where there is a lot of water.  But it’s not very usual for them to be by themselves, up in the hills, where the only water for miles is the cow’s watering trough.  But Celeste is ok with that.  I suppose she goes by what Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says, “Be an original, don’t be a copy.”

Besides, as you can see, Celeste is not alone.  She has powerful friends!  As you know, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teaches at Jung Suwon that it’s best to not be alone, but always go places together, for safety.  Being that good Jung Suwon-imal that she is, she tries to live according to Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim‘s teachings, and so she likes to hang out with the cows.

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim also told us that cranes, in the Oriental culture, are a symbol of good luck, and wealth – well let’s hope this comes true, and let’s hope that Celeste will stay around for a long time!

Jungsuwonimals can sing!

March 25, 2012

A very special Jungsuwonimal wanted it made known that he can sing!  And that he loves to sing!  And he isn’t even a bird!  He is a dog!

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teaches us, in her book, the Silent Master:

“You live in a wonderful time called now.  In this moment, everything true about you is waiting to be recognized and expressed.  Everything in the past is gone. Tomorrow will never come.  There is always only now.  You can take charge, take action, and create freedom for yourself.”

And that is exactly how this K-9 Jungsuwonimal is living.  He only knows now and he only lives in the now.  Since he cannot work out in a Jung Suwon class (although at times he comes to visit at Jung Suwon), and he still wants to participate as a true Jung Suwon warrior, he is wanting you to know his true feelings.

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim reminds us that, just because they do not talk like humans do, does not mean they do not have feelings, or cannot express!

And here is his Jungsuwonimal Master Performance!  Enjoy this, with your speakers on!  Sing with him if you like!

A couple of calves and what they might be thinking

March 23, 2012

Actually, I don’t really know if cows or calves, or any animals for that matter, think as we humans do.  But Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim points out that all beings have Ki energy, and are much more in tune with their Ki energy than most humans are, and ever will be!

Here are two very young calves, Claire and Charlie.  Although they never set foot into the Jung Suwon DoJang, as Jung Suwon-imals they know their place in this beautiful world. In Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s book, “The First Element,” it says,

“Earth is the place where your physical being begins and ends.  You are made of earth elements when you are born, and you return to earth elements when you die.  Earth energy is associated with cycles in your being, cycle sof birth and death, sleep cycles, digestion cycles, breathing cycles, rhythms of activity and rest.”

And so Claire and Charlie, the Jung Suwonimals, roam around and enjoy their lives, because they remember Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s words:

“Celebrate every living breath as if it was your last breath!”

Another form of Self Defense

March 14, 2012

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teaches us that there are many forms of Self Defense.  As we saw in the last post, avoiding conflict is one of them.  Here you can see that there is “safety in numbers,” as Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim tells us.  At Jung Suwon, we learn the physical and mental discipline to work out and prepare ourselves for anything, anytime.  But at the same time, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim explains, we need to make sure we avoid confrontation as best we can, and one of them is, don’t go places by yourself!

Jung Suwon is a great place to learn self confidence, self love, and self trust.  There you can learn who you are and that there are no limits as to what you can accomplish.  During Jung Suwon classes, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim will sometimes weave into class, some specific self denfense moves.  However, Great Grandmaster Kim will caution you that you will need to be mentally prepared before you ever do anything physical.  And that only comes through the physical and mental discipline of coming to Jung Suwon class!

For now, best to follow Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s recommendation: remember, best self defense is, “not be there,” and “safety in numbers.”

Self Defense – out in the wild

March 12, 2012

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim has a lot to stay about Self Defense, naturally.  She often gets approached to teach a 3-hour seminar, or one day seminar, on how to defend yourself.  Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim, though, refuses to have those short sessions at Jung Suwon, or elsewhere.  Why?

Self Defense is not just physical, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says, ” Self defense is physical, mental, and spiritual.  Unless you are ready on all three levels, you cannot properly defend yourself.  For example, if you go to a couple hour Self Defense class, and you learn how to do XXX technique if you get attacked AAA way – well, the attacker will not usually follow that protocol and attack you whichever way he or she pleases.  You have to be mentally ready first, and not try to memorize a series of moves, that you are sure to forget in an emergency situation!

Best Self defense?  Don’t put yourself in harms way, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teachers students young and old, at Jung Suwon Martial Art Academy.

Here are some pictures of how our Jung Suwonimals blend into their environment and try to “not be there.”  And yes, there is at least one Jung Suwonimal in each picture.  Can you find the one in the last picture?

A new Jung Suwonimal came to visit

March 6, 2012

This visitor doesn’t usually come close to us humans, yet I found him about 15 feet away from the front door!  As Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says, “Be ready for anything, any time!”  Expect the unexpected!

Finding Vinny the Vulture so close to home is most certainly unexpected.  I know, most people say ewwwww!  Vultures are gross!  But, are they?  Or are they, as Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim would say, just true to who they are meant to be?  Are they just fulfilling what God created them to do?

Here is what Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says about it, in her book, “The Silent Master:”

“When you know who you are, you experience yourself as unique, as one-of-a-kind.  You have a special place and a special purpose in being here.  No one can take your place in life or in the universe,”
