Caroline the cow, a very loyal Jung Suwon-imal

Meet Caroline, the cow.  She is a long-time Jung Suwon-imal and a great warrior, and also very loyal.  I know – cows have somewhat of a bad reputation, of not being very smart.  But Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim assures us that they are very smart animals in their own right, and incredibly loyal.

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim told me that once she noticed that a newborn calf had died, and the mother cow was inconsolable.  For seven full days, the cow was standing watch over her dead calf, mourning her loss.  The cow would scare away the vultures that wanted to settle down and have a meal.  Isn’t that a wonderful example of loyalty?  Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim has this to say about loyalty: (and you can find these words in her book, Seven Steps to Inner Power)

“Loyalty is the result of perpetuating, reinforcing, and expressing your real self by loving it.  And how do you love yourself?  By being your real self.  There is no greater way to love your real self than by being it.  That is loyalty.  Loyalty, then is a lot like gratitude because they are both acts of recognizing or acknowledging an idea.  Whatever you are loyal to, you recognize.  Whatever you recognize, you think about.  Whatever you think about, you manifest.”

Cows are very loyal in other ways as well.  One time this very clever Jung Suwon-imal of the bovine nature wandered into Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s big garden, and started eating the nice green grass.  And very easily, with the help of a carrot over her shoulder, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim lead Caroline out the gate, never having to use any force or loud voice.

Caroline, loyal Jung Suwon-imal that she is, would then stand for hours near the gate, waiting for Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim to come out and hopefully bringing out more carrots!

Never underestimate the intelligence and loyalty of our animals, out there, in the wild……
