A couple of calves and what they might be thinking

March 23, 2012

Actually, I don’t really know if cows or calves, or any animals for that matter, think as we humans do.  But Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim points out that all beings have Ki energy, and are much more in tune with their Ki energy than most humans are, and ever will be!

Here are two very young calves, Claire and Charlie.  Although they never set foot into the Jung Suwon DoJang, as Jung Suwon-imals they know their place in this beautiful world. In Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s book, “The First Element,” it says,

“Earth is the place where your physical being begins and ends.  You are made of earth elements when you are born, and you return to earth elements when you die.  Earth energy is associated with cycles in your being, cycle sof birth and death, sleep cycles, digestion cycles, breathing cycles, rhythms of activity and rest.”

And so Claire and Charlie, the Jung Suwonimals, roam around and enjoy their lives, because they remember Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s words:

“Celebrate every living breath as if it was your last breath!”

Another form of Self Defense

March 14, 2012

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teaches us that there are many forms of Self Defense.  As we saw in the last post, avoiding conflict is one of them.  Here you can see that there is “safety in numbers,” as Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim tells us.  At Jung Suwon, we learn the physical and mental discipline to work out and prepare ourselves for anything, anytime.  But at the same time, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim explains, we need to make sure we avoid confrontation as best we can, and one of them is, don’t go places by yourself!

Jung Suwon is a great place to learn self confidence, self love, and self trust.  There you can learn who you are and that there are no limits as to what you can accomplish.  During Jung Suwon classes, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim will sometimes weave into class, some specific self denfense moves.  However, Great Grandmaster Kim will caution you that you will need to be mentally prepared before you ever do anything physical.  And that only comes through the physical and mental discipline of coming to Jung Suwon class!

For now, best to follow Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s recommendation: remember, best self defense is, “not be there,” and “safety in numbers.”

A new Jung Suwonimal came to visit

March 6, 2012

This visitor doesn’t usually come close to us humans, yet I found him about 15 feet away from the front door!  As Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says, “Be ready for anything, any time!”  Expect the unexpected!

Finding Vinny the Vulture so close to home is most certainly unexpected.  I know, most people say ewwwww!  Vultures are gross!  But, are they?  Or are they, as Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim would say, just true to who they are meant to be?  Are they just fulfilling what God created them to do?

Here is what Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says about it, in her book, “The Silent Master:”

“When you know who you are, you experience yourself as unique, as one-of-a-kind.  You have a special place and a special purpose in being here.  No one can take your place in life or in the universe,”

Line up for Jung Suwon class

January 31, 2012

As I was driving to Jung Suwon Academy , I saw that not only humans line up for class!  I saw that even birds enjoy a good Jung Suwon-imal workout!  And why not?

Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim explains that all animals, in fact, not only animals and living things, but that everything in this world has energy.  And just because the average person cannot see the Ki energy, it doesn’t mean it’s not there!  Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim illustrates it this way:  You know that electricity exists.  You can’t see it, but you certainly know it exists!  You know this because you have seen it’s effects, and the consequences of not handling it properly.

Ki energy is very similar.  And Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim sees this energy, and teaches her students to see and recognize it as well, and also to interprete what it means.

Animals are very good “Ki energy detectors” and if we are in tune, we will learn to listen to their “energy announcements.”  If your dog growls at someone, Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says, “then there is a good chance that the person the dog growls at, has some issues.  Perhaps that person was angry, or maybe in contact with someone that was angry.  Or maybe wearing used clothes that belonged to an angry person.

As for the birds lined up for class, I know that they will have a most awesome time,!

Introducing a newcomer into the Jung Suwonimal family, Danny the deer

January 28, 2012

Yes, occasionally I am lucky and get very close to some very shy Jungsuwonimals.  Here is Danny the deer.  He doesn’t come around much, he doesn’t trust our two German Shepherds.

But he knows I am harmless and so once in a while he comes to hang out.

Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim explains that animals are much more in tune with Ki energy than most people.  They have to!  In order to survive out there, in the wild, deer, for example, have to know what sounds are ok and what announce danger, they have to know what smells are ok and which ones not, and so forth.

Grandmaster Tae YunKim gives us the Code of Ethics, and teaches that animals naturally live by that, subconsciously.

Take, for example, “Body and Mind as One.”  In this, Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teaches that in order to accomplish what we need to do, we have to keep our Body and Mind together.  We cannot sit there, hold a book and think we are studying, when our mind, at the same time, is drifting off to going out with a friend!

Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim points out that in the Jungsuwonimals, this comes naturally.  They do not have to think about it.  In all they do, their body and minds are one!  Can you imagine what would happen if Danny the deer allowed himself to day dream?  He would be easy prey for the local mountain lions!

Stay in tune, for more visits from the Jung Suwonimals, and more Code of Ethics Lessons from Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim!

Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim invites a special guest for morning training

January 20, 2012

I mentioned on another blog about Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s special outdoor training.  Yesterday was a very special day.

I mean, I have known that Grandmaster Kim is the World’s foremost Ki Energy Master, but yesterday was really really special.  You see, a Hawk came to visit us.  Now, where Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim lives, there are a lot of hawks.  But none ever came before the sun was even close to coming up, and none ever came this close.  It was a very beautiful moment.

Grandmaster Kim explains that we attract what we think. If we have beautiful thoughts in our minds, then we will attract beautiful and positive things.  If, on the other hand, we think only nasty and bad thoughts – that is what we are going to get.

So, let’s focus on the good, on the beautiful, on the positive and have a great day!

During my absence from this blog, the Jungsuwonimals haven’t disappeared.  In fact, some pretty awesome newcomers have arrived on the scene.  Let me introduce you to one of them today.

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim, (as you know, my hero and Martial Arts Teacher), loves dogs.   She teaches that dogs can tell the Ki energy that is all around us, in us and all living things.   She has several of them.  The newest of them, Sarang, (means, “LOVE” in Korean) is my favorite and I am lucky that I get to take care of her a lot.  Sarang embodies one of the code of ethics perfectly, especially “Body and Mind as One.”  When she does something, she does it all the way. When she is on guard, she is on guard and nothing escapes her, and she will relentlessy pursue any danger to her Master.  When she eats, she eats with a passion, and when she runs, her body and mind work flawlessly together.  And when she plays – ah yes, when she plays – here is a little treat for you to see how she lives the code of ethics even during play time.  Enjoy!
