A Bear’s view of life

February 20, 2017

Some forms of Wildlife I am very glad I don’t meet in person.  I mean, I truly love bears and how majestic and beautiful they are – but I would rather admire them from afar – especially if they have babies!  (The videos here were taken with a remote, motion detection triggered camera).  No people or bears were hurt in the process! 🙂

Dr. Tae Yun Kim owns a large, beautiful property in Oregon, that has some “native dwellers” living on it naturally, and here you can see them.  They lead a completely natural, yet protected life, and I had to think of some of what Dr. Kim wrote in “The Silent Master:”

“Freedom does not mean being free from adversity or difficulty.  Freedom is the knowledge that you have the power to conquer adversity and difficulty.  If you could ask any animals living fee in the animal kingdom, they would tell you that they aren’t free from “trouble.”  Predators are everywhere, and life is a daily challenge.  But all animals were born with instincts to protect them, and were given special talents and abilities to help them stay alive and pursue their lives in freedom.  It is the same for you!”

And isn’t that how bears live?  They are not free from trouble, but they know how to deal with it.  So let’s be a little like them, know who we are and know we have all the tools we need to live as we were meant to!

We live in a wonderful time called now

February 10, 2017

I know it’s hard to imagine we can learn something from goats.  But really, look at this little one right here.  Isn’t he/she expressing who they are?  Aren’t they living in the here and now like we are meant to do?

Have we met before?

Consider what Dr. Tae Yun Kim is saying on this topic:

“You live in a wonderful time called now.  In this moment everything true about you is waiting to be recognized and expressed.  Everything in the past is gone.  Tomorrow will never come. There is always only now.  You can take charge, take action, and create freedom for yourself.

Right here and right now let’s start celebrating!  Freedom is real.  Freedom is possible.  You have power, truth, beauty and potential within you always waiting to be discovered, always waiting to be expressed.  What is stopping you?  What is holding you back?  You are free to be free!

(The Silent Master, page 162)

See now what I mean?  Let’s enjoy life and be who we were born to be!

Turkey Talk

There is safety in numbers!  This applies especially to our turkeys here – the total number might have been around 30-40 turkeys, right in the middle of the street.

You might ask yourself, what possibly could I learn from turkeys?  Aren’t they supposed to be really stupid?  To Dr. Tae Yun Kim, no animal is ever stupid. Why?  Look at them!  To survive harsh winters and with numerous predators around all wanting to eat them, they still manage to survive in great numbers!

In addition, these turkeys teach us this:

“Our actions are guaranteed to affect others.  Because we are not alone in this world, much of our learning about ourselves comes from our interaction with others  Our relationships are our teachers. We learn from each other.” (Seven Steps to Inner Power, page 76)

Look at these turkeys – they learn from each other, they interact with each other and together they make it happen!

So, yes, we can learn even from turkeys!

HE CAN DO, SHE CAN DO, WHY NOT ME!

Why Coyotes can teach us a lot

Who is that peeking out from under tall grass and underbrush?  Yes, that’s Corey, Corinna’s cub.  He feels quite safe there and he knows that I wouldn’t do anything to attract mommy’s attention.  Coyotes are highly protective of their young and will fiercely protect them.

You might wonder what we can learn from coyotes.  Well, for one, Dr. Tae Yun Kim emphasizes how we can learn from every animal, every plant, every piece of nature.  They are God’s creations and they all have something to tell us.

Even Coyotes.  Many farmers and rancher view them as dangerous predators, and they are absolutely right.  Yet coyotes are very intelligent animals who work together and plan their hunt together.  They know the power of teamwork.

But even when they are temporarily by themselves, they know what Dr. Tae Yun Kim teaches us humans:

“Too much of the time we feel controlled by forces outside us, when in fact, the goal of life is to realize that all those ‘forces’ are made of the same energy we are.  We are one with this energy and we can participate with it; we can transform and direct it instead of letting it just act on us.”

Corinne sure seems to feel confident and at one with nature around her!

Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s deer friends

Dr. Tae Yun Kim encourages us to learn from nature and from all the animals. Deer are wonderful teachers!

So what’s going on here?  Momma’s got something that looks so good!

Daddy is on to it too!  I better run and get some too!

This deer family is a perfect example of one of Dr. Tae Yun Kim‘s teachings.

Body and mind are one!  Deer don’t have to struggle with this concept – they live it every moment of their lives!  Deer don’t daydream, they know what they are supposed to do – and they do it, without questioning it.

Us humans, we struggle.  Remember though, your body is the living temple of your consciousness.  It is a holy place and deserving of your utmost love, care and respect.  Your body is meant to be well and whole and to beautifully carry out the instructions of your mind like a faithful servant.

Your body and mind then are designed to act as one at all times. It takes a lot of work and discipline.  With deer?  It comes naturally to them.

So let’s be more like deer……

Earl the Bald Eagle shows how to enjoy Food

January 12, 2017

Earl, the Bald Eagle, really shows us how to live.  Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim has been emphasizing about the importance of food and to treat it with the respect it deserves.

“God gave us all things to eat,” Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says, “food is a direct gift from Him.  It is our responsibility to treat all food well, keep kitchens clean and not waste a thing.”

Earl the bald Eagle understands this, and is demonstrating his attitude in the video here.

“When you prepare and eat food, you are harnessing the energy in the vegetables, grains, or meats to interact with your energy, thereby creating more energy.  Naturally you always want to eat the best quality foods you can.  But what about when you are traveling and don’t have any healthy options?  Because food exists in consciousness, it has the energy of consciousness.  When you eat you bring this energy into your body. If you are in a situation where junk food is your only choice, remember that your positive attitude helps you get the best energy you can out of the food until a better selection is available.” (The Silent Master page 72)

So let’s be like Earl and know what to eat and how to respect the food we have!

Happy Blue Heron Celeste

June 24, 2013

Celeste - nice poses.MTS.Still006Maybe you remember our local Blue Heron, Celeste?  She loves to stay near Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim‘s place, and even though there really isn’t much water around except perhaps the watering station for the local cows, she keeps coming back.

Celeste always reminds me of Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim‘s words about freedom to be who you are born to be!

“You were born to be free!  Just as nature is full of wildlife that is born in freedom, you, too, are meant to live free.  You are a part of nature, too.  And there is no greater freedom than to be the master of your own destiny.  There is no greater happiness than to be who you are in truth – not a copy or an imitation of someone else, but rather, your own original self.

When you know who you are, you experience yourself as unique, as one-of-a-kind.  You have a special place and a special purpose in being here.  No one can take your place in life or in the universe.  When you know who you really are, you become free because you realize you can be in charge of your life.  You learn to use the natural power within you to realize your true desires, to set meaningful goals for yourself, and to fulfill them successfully.”
